SAUGERTIES ORGANIC GARDENS

The Mission
Welcome to Saugerties Organic Gardens
a not for profit community agricultural organization
Our Gardens Include:

A COMMUNITY GARDEN
Over 70 raised garden beds leased by members producing vegetables, strawberries, flowers, and herbs, featuring a deer and rodent fence, and a dedicated solar powered well.
PICK A BOUQUET
Featuring hundreds of dahlias and other beautiful florist grade flowers the public can pick and take home. Payments are accepted on a by donation basis.
THE POLLINATOR GARDEN
Surrounding the exterior of the community garden a pathway provides access to a plethora of perennial pollinators that provide our honey bees, butterflies, bluebirds, and many more vertebrates the pollen, nectar, and insects they need to survive in this polluted world we live in. Note: please do not pick flowers in the pollinator garden. They are for the pollinators.

OUR APIARY
The home for our honey bees! Our primary objective is keeping our bees healthy, in doing so, we are rewarded with pollination, honey, and other related products. Each year we will also introduce and train potential beekeepers and “honey helpers.”

FROM CHICKS TO CHICKENS (on hold for 2025 due to Avian Flu)
Each Spring we raise chickens to supply our neighbors with layers to replenish their flocks. If you wish to purchase layers sales start in September.

WOOD CHIPS
Usually available for sale, pick up or delivery options available.
